Transforming Homes at the NHMF Conference 2025
Our Transforming Homes team members Prof Jo Patterson from Cardiff University, and Prof Pete Walker and Dr Louise King from the University of Bath, will be presenting at the upcoming National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) Conference 2025 on January 21st in Stratford-upon-Avon. Join them for an insightful session on “Net Zero: Transforming Homes” chaired by Julian Ransom.
They will focus on the critical role that maintenance plays in the successful retrofit and wider transformation of our existing housing stock in the UK and that modifications to homes including space, materials and technologies have to be designed to be maintainable, whilst being maintained once implemented. The role of governance and maintenance teams play an essential role in large scale roll out to improve our housing stock.
Transforming Homes is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), which is part of UK Research and Innovation. Future Observatory, the Design Museum’s national research programme for the green transition ecosystem, supports the project.
